A CONGRATULATIONS is in order to Caroline Grace who has been nominated, and accepted, as a participant in the Missouri Leadership Seminar. The program has been providing high school sophomores from across Missouri the opportunity to discover and expand their leadership potential for 34 years. Caroline will attend the three-day seminar in June.
The annual Science Fair at Barat Academy engages all students 6th-12th grade! Each student chooses a topic of interest, designs an experiment, interprets results and presents their findings to faculty and peers. All engage in judging the projects to select which ones will continue on the the Academy of Science regional fair next month!
Bonding moments were shared today as Barat female students invited their moms and grandmothers to a buffet breakfast, prayer and a heartwarming, faith-filled presentation by guest speaker and actress Julie Piekarski Probst.
Students conserve a Native American burial mound and participate in outdoor reflection. Service learning is built in to Barat Academy's curriculum making it a rewarding and fun experience for students and staff.
Congratulations to Nick Albers who was chosen to participate in the Missouri Scholars Academy, a three-week, on-campus program at the University of Missouri at Columbia that emphasizes problem-solving, critical thinking, cultural understanding, and personal growth. The Missouri Scholars Academy, which seeks to help gifted high-school students fulfill their potential, is generally considered to be the premier academic program for sophomores in Missouri.
Barat Academy students head to France as part of our student exchange program. In October Lycee Sainte Marie students from Beaucamps-Ligny, France attended our Barat classes, the Fall Ball Dance, and other activities with their Barat ambassadors. Safe travels!
Congratulations to Kenneth Flores, Barat Academy Alumni, Class of 2017, for becoming an academic all-conference player for St. Louis College of pharmacy. Flores played basketball at Barat Academy and is now a sophomore at STLCOP.
Cast and crew of this year’s musical GODSPELL outdid themselves in two performances. Each song and dance outdid the other. It is amazing what our students can accomplish.
Arabian Nights was the theme of this year’s Parent/Student dance held at Whitmoor Country Club. It was a magical, sparkling night!
The final game of the season celebrated our senior players and a 43-8 win against Principia. Way to go Eagles!
