Hill and Hodges Selected for Missouri Boys State

For the past 75+ years, the Boys State program has been training young men in citizenship, leadership, and public service. Each June, nearly 1,000 high school juniors attend the program from every corner of the state. During the week, they gain a better understanding of our political system, the principles of democracy, and their own capacity for leadership and community service. This is accomplished through interaction among themselves, our all-volunteer staff, and prominent guest speakers. Boys State participants traditionally have gone on to be leaders in community, business, public service, and family. Many say the seeds of their success were planted at Boys State.

This year’s session will be held June 17-24, 2017 on the campus of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO.  You can learn more about Missouri Boys State at http://www.moboysstate.org.

We would like to congratulate juniors Clayton Hill and Colin Hodges on being selected and representing Barat Academy.
