Each year the Barat Academy Lacrosse Program partners with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation to adopt a family. The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers and to raise awareness through their Adopt-A-Child, Safe on the Sidelines and Guardian Angel Programs. This is accomplished by pairing the afflicted child and their siblings with local high school and college sports teams, campus clubs, and arts programs in their community.
On April 21st Barat hosted Whitfield for their annual FOJ match-up. The Eagles came out on top 11-4 over the Warriors, but more importantly the two teams worked together to raise money to support Brooke and her family as they navigate Brooke's condition, and advocate for childhood cancer research.
After the game both teams, their fans, Brooke and her family celebrated with a barbecue and a double rainbow in the sky! @FOJFoundation
