Admissions Guidelines PDF Print

Admission decisions are based on a student’s ability to be successful in Barat Academy’s program as determined by:

  • The student's grades from recent report cards
  • The student's standardized test scores
  • The student's recommendations and the interview process
  • Students who will bring to Barat Academy a diverse and well rounded environment

In accordance with St. Louis Archdiocesan policy, ninth grade students are not required to take an admission test. They must complete the Catholic High School application form in addition to Barat Academy’s application. The Catholic High School application form may be obtained from parish schools and PSR programs. If the student is not enrolled at a parish school or a PSR program, simply call the Admissions Office to request the necessary forms.

If a student is applying to another Independent Schools of St. Louis (ISSL) member, the Common Application may be submitted instead of the Barat Academy Application.

The Application for Admission and application fee of $60.00 should be received by Barat Academy prior to listed deadlines.

An official transcript is required and must be mailed from the student's current school directly to Barat Academy.

Barat Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at this school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
